Rooted in the past and growing into the future, the church must always be reformed in order to live out the love of Christ in an ever-changing world. We celebrate the good news of God’s grace, that Jesus Christ sets us free every day to do this life-transforming work. Trusting in the freedom given to us in baptism, we pray for the church, that Christians will unite more fully in worship and mission.

God’s Promise to David: God’s promise to David concerning his heir, who will be God’s Son and whose kingdom will endure forever.

God Answers Hannah: Samuel is God’s answer to Hannah, who sings of God’s care for the needy.

Golden Calf: Golden calf shows unfaithfulness at Mt. Sinai. Moses intercedes, God forgives.

The Promise of Passover: Passover – the blood of the lamb and unleavened bread signify God’s sacrifice of the lamb God’s deliverance.

God Works through Joseph: Joseph’s dreams lead to family conflict and he is sold into slavery. In the end Joseph forgives. God works for good.

God’s Promise to Abraham: God promises Abraham descendants as numerous as the stars. Abraham believes.
