We tend to give our time (and money, resources) to places where we feel vested. Whether that is a cause close to our heart, a place we frequent often, or people who have touched our lives in some way. We all have different priorities. If St. Mark’s is one of those priorities for you, we want to make giving your time easier.
A church is never at a loss for volunteer opportunities – volunteers are needed to make our church function and St. Mark’s is no exception. Part of the issue is a lack of communication – sometimes that happens when a need is not conveyed, but more often it happens when an opportunity is not defined well. To that end, we are working on making a living document that will give a source of description for as many of our volunteer opportunities that we can. Traci Billman serves as a central point of contact, so please ask her questions and she will connect you with whatever opportunity you’d like to explore.
The hope is that everyone finds a way to take part and volunteer, for there is a way for everyone to help in building up the body of Christ.
