As our musical ensembles work together with greater collaboration, we are so thankful to have the chance to begin work on repurposing the sanctuary south wing as a music area. Having this flexible space to combine our ensembles as they grow and change is going to be such a blessing for our worship. After gathering feedback from the congregation and working with a task force of members from the Board of Property Management, the Board of Worship submitted a proposal to council for the repurposing of the sanctuary south wing into a music area over two separate phases.

Phase 1 will see the removal of the pews from the south wing as well as the installation of the music equipment and set up for our various ensembles. This will allow the musicians to begin collaborating at the start of the program year. As a congregation, we will live into these new changes, making any necessary adjustments before the task force will proceed on to Phase 2. The second phase will consist of making the south wing appear as if it has always been intentional as a music space in our sanctuary.

If you have any questions about this process, please reach out to our Board of Property Management or Board of Worship Chairs or Minister of Music, Patrick Marchant.
