Sunday, January 18 | 11am – 4:30pm
What is a Mitzvah? The Hebrew word translates to ”commandment,” but the word refers to more than just rules. A mitzvah often refers to a good deed, an act of kindness, or a way of connecting with God. To that end, Temple B’nai Sholom, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Huntsville, and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church are joining together make a mitzvah!
We’ll spend the afternoon working side by side at UUCH (3921 Broadmor Rd) to support our wider community, along with partners from WellStone and the Humane Society. There will be a pizza lunch (a suggested donation of $5 per family is appreciated) and a time to connect with our siblings from all three communities.
Stay the whole day or help for an hour or two between 11am and 4:30pm. Opportunities for children and youth will be available and there will be childcare for little ones who need a break from the projects.
We hope you join us! Together we will make a friend, make a difference, make a mitzvah!
