Wednesdays, February 21 – March 20, 2024

We are excited to announce our new Lenten worship series, Holy Currencies. Based around Eric Law’s book, Holy Currencies is a holistic model for stewardship and congregational vitality, moving beyond “time, talent, and treasure”. This model, with its processes, enables churches to understand, develop, and utilize five other kinds of currencies besides money that are essential for creating sustainable and missional ministries: Time & Place, Gracious Leadership, Relationship, Truth, and Wellness. These currencies flow and recirculate to form a Cycle of Blessings which empower congregations to strengthen their internal relationships as well as reach out and connect with the diverse populations in their neighborhoods.

Starting Wednesday, February 21, our mid-week offerings include a meal at 5pm and worship at 6:30pm following the Behold Our Light Has Come evening worship setting. New this year, we will celebrate Holy Communion through intinction, using local elements – fresh bread and locally sourced muscadine – to emphasize our connections with each other and our community through communion.

In addition to our mid-week services, there will also be a six-week book study, led by Pastor Will, that complements the Wednesday evening messages and dives deeper into each holy currency.
