observing lent at st. mark's
THIS PAGE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION FOR LENT 2020!
The season of Lent is a solemn period of 40 days, excluding Sundays, beginning Ash Wednesday and ending Easter Sunday. During this time, we prepare ourselves through worship and a variety of spiritual and physical disciplines to remember the sacrifices made by Jesus to atone for our sins. Lent culminates in Holy Week, a time of both deep sorrow and utmost joy as we remember and celebrate the suffering, death, burial, and miraculous resurrection of Christ Jesus.
Sunday Afternoon Open House & Worship
This year we will open our doors for worship and fellowship each Sunday afternoon during Lent (March 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st, April 7th and 14th).

Easter Sunday (April 21st)
The culmination of Holy Week begins at a 6 am sunrise service at the cross in front of the church, followed by an Easter Breakfast from 7 - 10:30 am. Other service times will be at 8:30 & 11 am. Though there is no Sunday School on Easter morning, folks are invited to ‘flower’ the cross at 10 am in front of the church. |
