It is that time of year again! Together with four other Lutheran churches in our area, we are collecting holiday meal items to pack 100 bags* to distribute the week of Thanksgiving. St. Mark’s is tasked with collecting 100 3-5 lb. hams. We request hams be put into the downstairs freezer by November 16.
*In light of the government shutdown and suspension of food assistance programs, we will be increasing the number of bags from 100 to 150. We are still asking for collections for 100 bags; the items for the extra 50 will be supplied with dedicated funding.
We are also looking for a handful of volunteers to answer the door and pass out the holiday meals to anyone who comes by during our food pick-up times: November 24 – 26 from 9am – Noon. If you would like to help, please sign up for a time slot in Communication Central.
