Vacation Bible School, June 30th
On June 30, from 1:00 to 7:00 pm, we will have Vacation Bible School for everyone. We will have songs, games, crafts and Bible stories for everyone to participate in, whether you have children or not. The idea is to host an inter-generational summer-time event, that allows for the entire church family to participate. Our day will begin with opening ceremonies at 1 pm in the sanctuary, followed by a myriad of activities that allows for you to do and see as you are able. The day will culminate with a shared meal and closing ceremonies. REGISTER by signing up in Communication Central.
Mark your calendar and be part of the St. Mark's Rocket team! On the evening of July 16th we need volunteers, teams, families and groups to help us launch rockets as we take part in an exciting event. St. Mark's will be hosting a launch party to attempt to shoot off as many rockets as we can, as we take part in The Global Launch Challenge with The U.S. Space and Rocket Center. To celebrate the Anniversary of the Apollo, The Rocket Center is asking volunteers to form teams to help break the Guinness record of the most rockets launched on one day. People all over the world are forming teams and participating. We hope to have a team from St. Mark’s that will launch 25-50 rockets. We are only limited by the number of volunteers we have. If you are interested in helping please sign up in communication central. We will need leaders to help ensure safety as well as volunteers to help with kid launches. We hope to have all kinds of rockets from simple to extravagant! All types of rockets contribute to the event!
Fall Family Retreat - Early Bird Discount Ends June 9th!
Our 3rd annual Fall Family Retreat will be held October 11-13!! Join us for a fun, inter-generational event at Lutheranch in Tallapoosa, GA. This year our theme, And Jesus said, “I’ll give you rest”, is to inspire you to retreat and relax; to find rest from your day to day busyness; and to join together with your church family in fellowship and joy. Plan to come and visit with an old friend and to make a new one as we play, learn, worship, sing, laugh, eat, sleep, and just enjoy each other.
