If you are interested in membership, please contact Pastor Gary Soop. New member classes are offered 3 times a year.
Contemporary Worship, 8:30am Sunday The 8:30AM service is Contemporary. There are different praise teams that provide more contemporary music at these services and the words are on the screens for music and readings. It is a more relaxed and casual service, and dress is likewise. Communion is offered each week at this service, which typically lasts between 50 minutes to 1 hour.
Traditional Worship, 11:00am Sunday
The 11:00AM service is a typical, liturgical Lutheran service. The music is traditional, and traditional liturgical elements are present. This is a more formal service with more traditional dress. Communion is offered each week and the service lasts about an hour.
Located directly off the narthex on your way to the Sunday school wing, Communication Central is a hub of activity on Sunday mornings. Bathrooms are located near Communication Central, as is our Nursery.
So, get a cup of coffee, sign up for an upcoming event, and enjoy some fellowship between service and the Sunday school hour.
Sunday School for all ages happens at 9:45am
Whether you are 3 yrs old or 103 yrs old, there is a Sunday School class for you. Please check out our Adult Sunday School page for more information on offerings for adults, or our children's classes page for information on Sunday school for our children.
Have little ones between the ages of 3 weeks and 5 years old? Perhaps it's not easy for them to sit through service with you even with the activity bags available in the Narthex? We have a nursery staffed and available all morning on Sunday. Click here for more information.

St. Mark's is a dynamic and growing congregation .
We are a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
All baptized believers are welcome to join us in communion at the Lord's table.
As the first
Lutheran Church in Huntsville, St. Mark's is centrally located.
have members who come from great distances because of the quality of
their experience here.
We are a C.H.U.R.C.H. which means we
have Christ as our head; we are a Home for spiritual seekers; we have
an Urgency about telling the good news so that all may have a
Relationship with God through Christ and also relate to other
seekers. We believe all people have a unique Calling from God so
that, together and individually, we can be the Hope of the world.
Music is a strength of our church in worship and elsewhere. We have several music ministries you might consider joining.
And finally.... We would like to get to know you! When you come for worship service, please sign in the red book on your pew, or place your completed Visitor's Card (from the pew rack) in the offering plate. We promise not to ring your phone off the hook or send you junk mail. We would simply like a record of your visit and a way to thank you for worshiping with us.
